Living in Southeast Kelowna
Southeast Kelowna sits above and behind the Mission, where the city thins out into orchards, vineyards and acreage. It's rural without being remote: you're on large lots and quiet roads, and still a short drive from the shops in the Mission.
Housing runs from older farmhouses and acreages on agricultural land through to newer builds on large residential lots, with pockets of subdivision around Gallagher's Canyon. A lot of the land here is agricultural, and plenty of properties run on a well and a septic system rather than city services, so the due diligence looks different from a purchase in town.

Anyone who wants space, quiet and a bit of land without a long drive into the city. A strong option if you want trail and climbing access close to home.

Fifteen to twenty minutes to the Mission and downtown on a normal day. Everything is a drive, and winter road conditions up here are not the same as on the valley floor.

What's actually here.
Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park and the Boulderfields for hiking, biking and climbing. Gallagher's Canyon golf. Farm stands, orchards and wineries through the area, with the nearest full shopping down in the Mission.
Schools, parks and services in the catchment are listed on the school district's site, which is worth checking directly, since catchments change.
Teagan's take
Southeast Kelowna is for those of you who want a bit of a rural, quiet feel without needing to be way out of the city. There's a great sense of community, great schools, and you're still a short drive from most things you'd need.
There are lots of large lots, acreages and farmland, and tons of nice hiking and rock climbing. If you like having that outdoor space, Southeast Kelowna might be for you.
